Who Am I?
I am an ambassador of and joint heir with Yeshua Ha’Mashiach, consecrated to Yahweh and a partaker in His Divine nature (2 Peter 1:3-4). I began this blog in 2013, six months after my husband told me, “I no longer believe you’re my soul mate.” I spent the next few months seeking wise counsel, praying fervently, and battling to save my marriage. This blog chronicles the stages of confusion, anger, grief, and finally acceptance of the demise of our sacred union as I pressed onward in hope and healing after abandonment. It has now become a lighthearted blog about starting over and the adventures and misadventures in dating after divorce.
Why this blog?
It is my desire that I may be of some comfort to anyone going through similar circumstances.
Why “Foundations of Sapphires?”
On my 28th birthday, my dear friend Anna mailed me a birthday card with an encouragement to read Isaiah 54. The chapter is about God’s mercy and great love for Israel who is compared to a childless young wife who was forsaken. “For thy Maker is thine Husband,” the Lord says. “I will lay thy foundations with sapphires.” Not only are these one of the most strongest and beautiful gems, they are also my birthstone. I immediately connected with this verse and even more so when I looked up the symbolism. The sapphire has long been a symbol of truth, faithfulness, purity, and joyful devotion to God. This is the foundation I wish to build my new life as a single woman.
